B.C. Smoker's can rejoice!
Premier Christy Clark's announcement this September, will help B.C. smoker's be successful this year with a New Year's resolution to quit smoking.
The effects of tobacco use on oral health include:
-delayed healing
-increased risk of periodontal disease
-increased risk of tooth loss
-bone loss
-oral cancer
-stained teeth/ bad breath
-loss of taste
These are just some of the reasons why making the decision to kick the tobacco habit would be worthwhile. So with the new year approaching and our Premier's offer of smoking cessation products/NRT now might just be the time to give yourself the gift of better oral and overall heath.
